HAFL Consulting Services
HAFL Services draws on the skills of about forty professional staff with combined national and international track records in research and development. Their knowledge and experience are embedded in a lean institutional structure which cultivates interdisciplinary exchange with the aim of developing holistic and sustainable solutions.
Staff and their expertise
The practical research projects undertaken and the services provided by HAFL Services are continually adjusted to the specific needs of the specialist fields concerned. The trend is clearly towards interdisciplinary approaches, although the individual key competences remain important.

Degree Programmes
The HAFL offers three Bachelor degree programmes that are unique in Switzerland: Agriculture, Forestry and Food Technology. This offering has been completed with the Life Sciences Master's degree programme in Applied Agricultural and Forestry Sciences.

Student exchange
The HAFL encourages its students and lecturers to take part in exchange programmes. Studying or working abroad means broadening one`s horizons.
The HAFL currently carries out exchange programmes with Erasmus partner schools.
Further Education
For the further education services it provides, the HAFL strives to link scientific with practical knowledge. The courses offered are systematically evaluated and updated; modern adult education techniques are used.
CIEA
The CIEA (International Centre for Agricultural Education) is an international study centre for education and extension both in agriculture and in the rural area. The CIEA holds seminars - in Switzerland and abroad - for experts in agricultural education and extension. Since 1995 the CIEA has been managed by the HAFL.
